Certifications: Quality Management at ALDERS
We at ALDERS place great importance on customer satisfaction. Therefore, we have set high standards for the quality of our products for aerospace. Whether rotary switches, key switches, or other technologies, we are your expert in all questions of our industry.
Since 2007, we have been ISO 9001 certified. This distinguishes our excellent quality management, which we apply to all our products, from the smallest toggle switch to control grips for aerospace. We are always committed to offering and delivering only high-quality goods to our customers so that they can fully rely on the quality. Various audits by external aerospace companies confirm our high demands on our work.
Specialists in Aerospace
In May 2025, re-certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and EN 9120:2018 was carried out to even better meet the high requirements in the aviation sector. In this way, our quality management has received international recognition, making us a trusted partner worldwide. We are building a global network of partners and customers who benefit from our quality, for example, of rotary switches or self-sealing screws. The EN 9120:2018 certification is equivalent to AS 9120 and JISQ 9120 and includes ISO 9001:2015.

35th company anniversary
35th Company Anniversary: For three and a half decades, ALDERS has stood for quality, innovation, and excellent customer service. We are proud to have grown into a leading company in the electronics industry during this time and to have established a reputation as a trusted partner for our customers.
Since our founding in 1987, we have consistently focused on offering first-class electronic solutions. With our broad product portfolio and technological expertise, we are able to develop tailored solutions that meet the specific requirements of our customers. Our success is built on the dedicated work of our team, which consists of highly qualified professionals. New partner FES – ALDERS enters the hydrogen sector.
New Partner FES Sensor Technology: ALDERS and FES Sensoren are pleased to announce their partnership in the field of hydrogen sensor technology. The collaboration aims to develop advanced sensors that enable the precise and reliable detection of hydrogen. Combining ALDERS’ expertise in sensor development, marketing, and sales with FES Sensoren’s proficiency in sensor technology development creates a strong foundation for innovative solutions. Together, we aim to enhance safety and efficiency in hydrogen applications, such as fuel cell vehicles and industrial processes. We are proud to work together in shaping a sustainable future.
2018
Growth
Employees: The number of employees has more than doubled over the past eight years. ALDERS continues to grow at its Kempen location.
Expansion: In addition to its headquarters in Germany, the company is expanding within Europe and opening a branch in France.
2017
30th Company Anniversary, New Partner WP
30th Company Anniversary: ALDERS celebrates its 30th company anniversary and is proud to have been a competent partner in the field of electromechanical components for so many years. We cultivate our long-standing business relationships with our customers and suppliers and look forward to future projects.
New Partner WP: The company continues to expand its supplier network and finds a partner in World Products, specializing in the manufacture of antenna technology and electromechanical components.
2016
New Power Source, New Exhibition Stand Design
Photovoltaics: Reducing CO2 emissions has been an important goal for ALDERS for many years. Since 2014, ALDERS deliveries have been transported by a CO2-neutral logistics partner. In 2016, ALDERS took the next step for more sustainability: a photovoltaic system with almost 60 kW of power has been producing electricity at the company headquarters since early December. It supplies more electricity than the company headquarters needs. The surplus is fed into the public power grid of the municipal utilities.
On Tour with a New Exhibition Stand: ALDERS’ network is growing. This increases the product portfolio as well as the number of potential applications and customer segments. ALDERS has therefore had the design of its exhibition stand revised. This allows ALDERS to quickly adapt its stand concept to the requirements of trade fairs of various sizes and target groups.
The new exhibition stand proved its worth in 2016 at four completely different trade fairs: ILA with 1017 exhibitors and about 150,000 visitors, bauma with more than 3000 exhibitors, electronica with approximately 2700 exhibitors, and sps ipc drives with about 1600 exhibitors. A flexible concept for many markets and trade fairs.
2015
Brand, Anniversary, New Partners
Brand Registration: A brand means placing one’s company under special protection. That’s why ALDERS had its company name registered as a trademark in October 2015. The name thus remains unique in the business field in which ALDERS is active. For our customers and for us, this means security against brand counterfeiting and product piracy.
Silver Anniversary: With Cambion, ALDERS celebrates something like a silver anniversary this year: ALDERS and Cambion have been working together trustfully for 25 years. ALDERS can also celebrate a round anniversary of cooperation with another company: Genge and Thoma have been among ALDERS’ suppliers for ten years.
New Partners CTS and CTI: Our first-class network should not only exist but also grow step by step. Therefore, we have formed partnerships with two more international companies: CTS Electrocomponents and CTI. CTI focuses on human-machine interfaces and has earned an excellent reputation with industrial keyboards and mice. CTS Electrocomponents expands the ALDERS portfolio with high-quality sensors.
2014
Knobs and Green Logistics
New in the Program – EHC: Electronic Hardware Corporation, EHC, is a specialist in control knobs. Since 1962, the company has been a supplier to the US military. 52 years later, EHC Knobs is also a supplier to ALDERS electronic GmbH. We are pleased to offer our customers products from another international top company.
Green Logistics: Sustainability is a major concern for us. ALDERS is one of the first in the industry across Europe to choose a CO2-neutral logistics service provider.

2013
25-Year Celebration and In-house Exhibition at ALDERS
Celebratory Mood: From the living room to an electronics business with international partners – ALDERS has achieved and moved a lot in the past 25 years. It’s time to celebrate. And we do.
Exhibition at Home: ALDERS hosts its first in-house exhibition, introducing its customers to nine of ALDERS’ suppliers and their products. Among them are premium partners OTTO Controls, NKK, APM Hexseal, and Cambion. For quick decision-makers, there’s an in-house exhibition anniversary discount.
2012
Relocation, ILA Premiere, New Names and Partners
600 + 300: In November, we move into our new corporate headquarters. With 600m² of office space and 300m² of warehouse space, we have a state-of-the-art infrastructure available, providing room for future growth.
New Names, New Partner: Effective June 1, 2012, the companies now operate under “ALDERS avionics + defence GmbH” and “ALDERS electronic GmbH.” The further specialization of both companies in specific markets continues to take shape. In January, ALDERS signs a “Master Distribution Agreement” with Siegrist-Orel, the leading manufacturer of cable marking systems and protective sleeving for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Premiere at ILA: ILA is THE trade fair when it comes to aerospace. In 2012, ALDERS participates for the first time in this mega-exhibition and presents components such as connectors, control grips, and switches to the aerospace industry. Almost 1000 exhibitors from all over the world, a six-figure number of visitors, and many prominent figures from business and politics come to Berlin. For the ALDERS exhibition team, the ILA premiere is an impressive experience.
2011
Plenty of Space for New Milestones
A milestone in the company’s history is reached. In November, ALDERS acquires a 3,500 m² plot of land in Kempen on the Lower Rhine to build its new corporate headquarters there.
2010
From R like Retirement to N like Network to C like Certificate
Retirement: In December, the founders, Ulrich and Beate Alders, retire after more than 20 years of well-deserved service. ALDERS GmbH now has eleven employees.
Certification: Recertification according to DIN ISO 9001:2008 and certification according to EN 9120.
Network: ITW McMurdo Connectors is added to the sales program. ALDERS GmbH becomes a representative of APM Hexseal.

NKK Switches and further GmbH formation
ALDERS GmbH: To achieve better customer orientation, business areas are split. ALDERS electronic GmbH serves customers in aviation and the military sector. Martin Alders founds ALDERS GmbH, which focuses on industrial application fields.
NKK: ALDERS GmbH becomes a representative of NKK Switches.

With Martin Alders, the second generation joins the company. Currently, eight employees work for ALDERS electronic GmbH.

Strategy Change
The cruel attacks on the World Trade Center do not leave us untouched. The realization from this lays the foundation for the growth of the coming years, moving away from being a pure specialist for aerospace to a provider of high-quality electromechanical solutions.
1997
Factor 10
After almost nine years in the basement, the company is bursting at the seams. A suitable location is found in Tönisvorst on the premises of the old comb factory. The company rents 250m² of office and warehouse space there. The area is thus suddenly tenfold, providing ample room for further growth.

Conversion of the sole proprietorship ALDERS electronic into a GmbH (limited liability company). The company has three employees.

Get started with OTTO
ALDERS electronic was founded by Beate and Ulrich Alders. They have had a strong partner in OTTO Controls since the company’s inception in 1987.
